Slow and insufficient action on climate change is prompting many people in our communities to develop ever increasing fears for the future. This session will provide an introduction to climate anxiety and grief, and the emerging fields of climate psychology and pastoral care. It will discuss the growing prevalence of these forms of distress, the most vulnerable groups, how to provide support and where to learn more.

Jessica Morthorpe

Jessica Morthorpe is the co-author of the Climate Pastoral Care online course, founder of the Five Leaf Eco-Awards, a Christian Environmentalist and ecotheologian. She recently completed her Master of Theology and holds a Diploma of Eco-Justice Ministries, along with degrees in both Science & Commerce.
