Art and artists have a specific – vocation – one might say to hold up a mirror to society and reflect back to – society and culture – its hopes and joys, its sorrows and sufferings as well as its imaginations of what might be, what could be and what is. In all its beauty, in all its ugliness. In a fuller sense, art communicates to emotion, feeling and the depths of the mind, body and spirit to convey a message of who we are, what we are doing to our planet.
Art for Earth – Restoring Our Earth through Play – Now or Never
This pre-recorded event is a creative art response to COP26 using song, story, movement and shared silence. We are intimately connected to Our Earth body and any violation of it hampers the creative spirit in each of us. We celebrate our sacred belonging and relationship with Earth.
Created by Prashant Olalekar SJ, Hazel Lobo and Trish Watts – a collaboration of InterPlayers from India and Australia. Prashant, Hazel and Trish are part of an international network of spiritually inspired and environmentally concerned artists-activists.
This pre-recorded video will be available from 1900 GMT on Sunday 7th November 2021 from our Youtube channel: https://bit.ly/TRS_UofG/
This video will be provided on this page when it becomes available.
