We’ve marched, we’ve lobbied, we’ve petitioned, we’ve prayed. There’s lots to celebrate, but the struggle for climate justice continues. How do we keep going?

The climate crisis is unlike any challenge we’ve faced before. It’s all encompassing, global in nature and it’s not something that’s going away any time soon. This can bring some unique challenges for activists, campaigners and churches including eco-anxiety and a whole range of difficult emotions.

Join us for this Solidarity Session where our guest speaker Jo Musker-Sherwood will share ideas for minimising the impact of these challenging emotions. We’ll learn how to work with our eco-anxiety/ distress/ guilt, and how to take care of ourselves as we seek to live out our faith and call for climate justice.

With a mixture of theory and practice, you’ll learn a variety of strategies relevant to campaigning in all spheres of social justice, with signposting to further resources and some time for Q and A.

About Jo

Jo Musker-Sherwood has over fifteen years’ experience in the charity sector. As the Founder Director of Hope for the Future, she oversaw the charity’s growth from a small project to a national NGO impacting climate policy at all levels of government. Following an experience of activism-related burnout, Jo turned her attention to researching and developing strategies for emotional and ecological wellbeing. She is a coach in training, and currently researches, writes, mentors, and consults on emotional resilience strategies for those working in the environmental sector.
