The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Scotland, along with all eight Scottish archdioceses and dioceses, announced their fossil-free commitment Oct. 26, just days before the United Nations climate conference known as COP26 will begin in Glasgow. The Glasgow Women’s Leadership on Gender Equality and Climate Change convened a panel of female heads of government from around the world to discuss the gendered impacts of climate change and the importance of women’s leadership in addressing climate change.
